Careful, it's very addictive, but it's one of my favorite places for tweets. It's easy to follow on Twitter but you can subscribe to it in other ways.
Twitter Lit serves up literary teasers twice daily. At 9:00 AM and 9:00PM Eastern Time the first line of a book is posted. It doesn't have the author's name or book title, but offers a link to Amazon so you can see what book the line is from. From TwitterLit "Why? Because it's fun! The posts are also available for subscription via RSS, Twitter, Identi.ca, and email. Literary teasers in your inbox or RSS reader, on your Google home page, on the web, in your Twitter reader, or by mobile phone."
I recommend it for simply short treat each day.
Quotes, haiku, short stories, jokes, puzzles, rants - whatever comes to mind, but all succinct - ''simply shorts.'' I've begun to play with Photoshop so will also post some haiga. Keep waba sabi in mind -- this is process not perfection.

'I'm going to propose that I tell you a joke, Boo, on the condition that afterward you shush and let me sleep.'
'Is it a good one?'
'Mario, what do you get when you cross an insomniac, an unwilling agnostic, and a dyslexic.'
'I give.'
You get somebody who stays up all night torturing himslf mentally over the question of whether or not there's a dog.'
'That's a good one!'
'Shush.'
'. . .'
'. . .'
'Hey Hal? What's an insomniac?'
'Somebody who rooms with you, kid, that's for sure.'
'Hey Hal?'
'. . .'
